Topaz and tourmaline work well used in small amounts. Search "crystals" on this page and you'll find lots of info. You can find crystals pretty cheaply on Ebay.

I probably should have said, I've got a number of Maher's products in my system already: 5 CBFs in and out of my equipment, a PEv3 (if i remember it right) wired into the power cord leading to the cd player and his speaker cable filters. Over all they've done wonders and am considering another PEv3, if more really will make a sizeable difference, but only in the long run. For now I feel like I've covered the electrical side of things, now I'm wondering if the IEC connection and fuse might be my weakest link...
Or even some crystals?

Yep, got one on the fuse box right where the dedicated line connects, 2 inside the Cd player - one above the small transformer and the other over the DAC (not sure if it's doing anything though - would there be a better place for it?), one inside the amp above the small transformer and one over the outlet which feeds power to my fridge and microwave.
as they seem to "treat" the listener rather than the electrical current. I used the Earthcalm unit. Not only did I find my system sounded better, but the picture on my Sony HD improved. I would attribute this to a physiological effect of these units.

I haven't tried my Earthcalm unit on video, but it does make the soundstage more enveloping and also gives me a tingling feeling. I've tried it out on non-audiophile visitors, and they nearly all hear the same change that I hear; some feel the tingle too. I like the effect--the audio effect--but think that a negative ion generator aimed at the amplifier chassis has a much stronger effect, and it only costs $38.
The two plug-in gizmos that double and then quadruple its effect drives the tingling sensation above my limit for comfort and don't seem to enhance the soound beyond what the base unit does.
