Inmates,
My current system has only tubes and vinyl. I use an Alan Maher Quantum filter for power conditioning. It made a noticable differnce in the sound of my system.
I just bought a Wavelength Cosecant and plan to use it with an IMAC computer. I know that computers dump a lot of noise into the electrical system. I don't know whether the Cosecant also does this.
I would appreciate any recomendations you have. I assume I need to do something to isolate the noise from the computer and possibly the Cosecant from the rest of my system.
Thanks in advance.

Follow Ups:
through the wall installing a pass-through Wall-plate running the cable from the computer to the DAC in the listening room. Stuff the hole on the Comp side with foam, shut the door and I hear nothing from it. Add another line conditioner to the computer Power line if you think it'll dump noise into the house current running your other gear.
Thanks. Did you use an adjoining room because of sound or EMF interfearance?

any other benefits of course just support the sense it was a good ideaI have a Six foot cable running from the RCA on the Sound card to the RCA on the DAC. I wouldn't want any computer running a fan of any kind even the CPU fan is enough to distract from quiet music like solo piano or chamber music..

HI Ardi,

I agree, that is why I built a cics memory player. It is the most comprehensive recipe for treating the issues of computer audio, and creates a truly fanless audiophile system. Fans suck IMHO.
No one here remembers the bending of our minds
I'd ask Gordon Rankin for his suggestions.
He is aware of the iMac's noise issues.
Best regards,
Jim Smith
I recieved a response from Gordon. He said he does not like or use power conditioners.
