Thinking of upgrading from my PS Audio UPC-200 that feeds CD player, with hope that I'll be able to plug power amp into whatever replaces it (no-go with UPC-200).
Seeing (hearing that is) how significant was the difference made by Oyaide R-1 in place of awful PowerPort outlets in UPC-200, I would like to make sure that new conditioner's outlets are easily upgradeable. They're all mostly middle of the road Hubbel, from what I've seen, and that's not something I'm comfortable with.
Any experience with either of the two mentioned, or something else that works with amps, in about the same price range?

I upgraded my Richard Gray 600 outlets to Oyaide R1's. It really didn't help much compared to taking them out and making an Outlet strip with them. The 600 is a parallel filter and the stock internal wiring is ho-hum. The outlet strip did much better, my guess was it is the 18 or 16 gauge wire in the Gray. My stock outlets were riveted in too and needed to be drilled out.
When I was a Gray dealer the rep recommended plugging in high current devices into the same outlet as the Gray but not into the Gray. My experience says that's a good idea. My two cents.....

I can't speak to the "Haley" but the "Maxim" comes with a warning that you are violating the guarantee if you as much as unscrew the cover to take a look. So I cannot tell you if they are easy to swap.

Geoff
Outlets are easily replaceable
