I'm aware of the notion of dissimilar metals as discussed over the years in AA.
Vampire's LRCA7 and LRCA8 connectors are not typical WBT clones and actually sound better than Vampire's gold over copper base 800/CB rca connectors to my ear.
If it's done right, higher conductive metal plated brass base metal connectors can perform very well. The concept is explained by George Cardas about the reasoning behind his rhodium over silver plated rca connectors. You can google it if you like.
Also, the design of Wattgate's multi-layer metal plated Audio Grade AC connectors are another example of well done products of the type.

My google it comment wasn't aimed at you.
Googling George Cardas for ad copy on his products doesn't interest me. I don't have anything against brass connectors per se.
As an aside, I do find it funny that most audiophiles avoid nickel plated connectors like the plague only to find it under the silver/gold/rhodium that they're hypnotized by. ???
I do like the Vampire/WBT/Dayton locking connectors but don't use them anymore. They are high mass and add to the cable's overal capacitance and lower resolution, IMO.
The Swichcraft and Rean connectors I mentioned in the OP's identical thread on the CA are, again, low mass, copper alloy, gold plated, low capacitance connectors. They are equal if not superior in quality of material/plating/strain relief and sound.
My point is you don't have to spend $79 or use only audiophile approved rca connectors to achieve good sound.
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
You seem to have have an obvious agenda of denigrating premium audiophile connectors as if unworthy "audio jewelry", as I've seen you do in Cable Asylum, which is OT there -- but I suppose here in Tweaks you can fire away.

Sure, but what is your definition of a "premium audiophile" product?
Is it price and peer acceptance? Packaging? Aesthetics?
You seem to have bought into the "premium audiophile" and "tweakophile" market lock, stock and barrel and with no questions asked.
Often times I find they are of lesser quality than "consumer electronics" which is the case concerning the connectors mentioned.
You addressed nothing in my previous post but instead respond with personal conjecture and speculation regarding my "agenda".
