Thanks for that! I'm trying to work out what sort of wattage I need. I think 30W is the minimum for a part that conducts 10 watts. 50w is nice. So that would really be four of the 39 ohm in parallel, so eight resistors in all. Gets expensive!
I had another recommendation for a wirewound with Ayrton-Perry winding for low inductance.

Mills makes a 50w alum. housed resistor. Percy and TPC carries them.
Percy lists them as 50W NI POWER RESISTORS
I'm not too in love with the alu clad resistors - they are very clean but I find them a little hard, and they don't have the sparkle and life of the vitreous enamel. Mills has the reputation, but I don't know if this extends into alu clad.

THey're exactly the same innerds as mills MR series, 5w and 12w, just high power housed in alum. I've been using them for years.
