A drawing or a picture would help a lot with understanding your exact position of the bowels. Have you considered trying some textured acoustic foam or leafy potted plants at the same locations to generate some diffraction and a little absorption? would be interested to know how that compares to the water.

in the way. I think the water skips the sound forward, ala post regarding the Greeks using urns of water for amphitheater amplification, altho, it doesn't Sound amplified, just more spacious.

Glad you have a sense of humor!
sorry your Dick Hertz you should be more careful. So what do you think? water from Lourdes or simply diffraction?

course! Did you see the post a few weeks ago about the Greeks using urns of water to amplify sounds in Theaters or I suppose, Amphitheaters. I assume the sound skips over the water for the effect perceived. Or, maybe it's the Pentagram I burned into the rug!
