I tried a Ceramic Salad Bowl nearly full between the speakers, on the floor, both in line and slightly forward, on my cat's scratching board ( That's the secret!), listening so far only to a Benny Goodman Mono lp, where the sound is squarely in the middle. First of all, the Bowl of water gave a very nice feel to the room. When it was there I was tappin and smilin'. Without it, (I took it all the way out of the room, back in the kitchen), it was OK, nothing wrong, but kind of Bb, nevertheless. I brought the Bowl back, a little forward this time, and Bingo, not only were the Smilin' and Tappin' back. but the sound just FIlled the space , Very Cool. The Bowl adds a Lot to the ambience of the room, very pleasant, and a Flower wouldn't hurt a bit! Try it.

  No, not at all. I'm going to experiment more tomorrow. The post about the Greek Urns, one about the swimming pool, and the one that had a picture of a bowl with a flower got me thinking. Hey, it's Only a bowl of water, no muss no fuss no cost, no swapping out cords and cables. And it was a pleasant addition to the room.
