What would be a good material and technique for power transformer isolating from the chassis?
Follow Ups:
For mechanical isolation from vibration, I use a Deflex pad, available from Parts Connexion. It works better than the flimsy pad supplied with many toroids.

define isolated?
Their is a tuner on Audiogon that is for sale and this was part of a mod He had done. I notice a web site that a person who does upgrades that this was also part of his upgrade package. What are they doing and using? I'm hotroding a McIntosh MR500.
Ok, there are several ways. They could be removing the transformer and power supply assembly and putting it in a separate housing. Or, installing something between the transformer and chassis. I have done both. I am guessing it is the second option. I use a material called blackhole pad. It dampens vibrations and you can make a gasket of similar material to insert under the transformer. The removal of the power supply is more effective at isolation for stray electrical contamination. Another possibility is a housing or patrician to shield the other circuits from the power supply.
