From what I understand the hot and neutral wires will carry 60 volts each out of phase from each other. The difference between the two will be canceled out much like a balanced XLR connection. Usually the hot carries all of the 120 volts so no cancellation takes place.
I suspect balanced power like balanced line level will provide cleaner transfer.

It depends on the transformer and its common mode rejection.
like early PS Audio Power Plants, not the new ones.

Question "Authority", the mainstream media sucks - Go Independent and hold BOTH parties accountable instead of just the other guys!
Are there any products like Amps, Pre's etc. with built in Balanced Power supplies?

Most popular power amplifier topologies require a split supply.
That is a both a positive and negative DC voltage of the same value in respect to ground.
That in essence is "balanced power supply", I guess you could say.
But it is not really the same as balanced AC power.
Low power analog stages that use opamps also require a split DC power supply.
