The window is centered on the rear wall.
The few places I checked where priced 50%-80% more for a panel that is smaller than the factory 2'X 4'.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Follow Ups:
I have some 2" acoustic foam on front wall that I've been thinking of removing, so that is a inexpensive option. I believe that I'd still need a backer of some sort to make it look acceptable over the double hung window.
If I am going to have to build a backer/frame, I'm more likely to go with the DIY panel as it will match the the other panels in the room.
Again, your help is most appreciated!

I know Parts Express carries a variety of shapes and sizes of acoustic foam squares that can be easily cut.
Make your own. It's easy and far cheaper (see link).
Only use one 2" 703 panel for general-type traps and up to two 2" 705 panels (4" total) if you want more mid-bass absorption. FRK faced 705 with 0.7 mil painter's plastic will reflect highs if you are using them for bass absorption in the corners.
