Hi Ethan,
Thanks for the video links. I will check them out when I get a chance later tonight.
I have also realized another thing about my setup. I believe that I have an echo going on with the singer's voice. I figured it was just a part of the recording but now I'm wondering if its my room. I do alot of my critical listening to Paul Simon's Graceland. On several of the songs with the volume at a good level I can hear a distinct echo sometimes. Does that suggest that my room needs a certain type of treatment?
Thank you
Follow Ups:
Stick your head next to the loudspeaker and see if you can hear the echo coming from there. If you do, then it's in the recording. Regardless, if you have no room treatment now, the answer is you need some!

walk around your room and clap your hands. Listen for slap echo. If you can hear the echo from just clapping your hands then imagine what must happen with the music playing.
I tried this out, I believe I can hear a minor echo. Nothing too horrible I don't think though.
