Does it matter that those Hosfelt silver micas have magnetic leads?

Keep the leads as short as possible, no other option unless you go with higher end caps which are very large and expensive. The HRSCF works fantastic with these caps.

Yeah, I'll save the money for AC X-rated caps if I ever build an AC power supply cord DC filter. That DC in my house circuit bothers me. Have to get my tester out and see how much it is.

I just soldered the filter to my speaker cable, quick and dirty. Noticed right away the beat seems snappier and Jacques Brel's voice sounds more nuanced. Thanks to whoever came up with this.
Did you add the TI-Shield earth grounded as in the project plans? If you have not, you should try adding the TI-Shield. The addition of the TI-Shield will greatly improve the sonics.

These filters are adapted from the Walker Audio High Definition Links. I'm the one that added the silver-mica caps and multiple stages, and CDC developed the detailed instructions with TI-Shield.
