I am thinking about using Super Lube Multipurpose Grease to lubricate the platter bearing of my old turntable. Is this a good idea ? Please advise.

Hi,
I use a dab of white lithium grease on my VPI Scout's platter bearing/shaft.
"Permatex" brand. Comes in a tube at auto parts store.
Works very good.

Hi.
Mine, Thorens 125II, 30 years since I own it. No lubrication I ever added. IMO, too greasy oiling can make things worse.

A Denon DP1200 bought in 1980.
Hi.
I suggest you should consult Denon before you make a move. Does it show any retarded start up or speed dragging??
