I'm curious if anyone's tried Herbie's Tenderfeet or any of the Isocup/ball combo's on a MARANTZ SA-15 REFERENCE SACD-CD PLAYER. If so, what improvements were noted? Also, do the stock feet come off by just unscrewing the screw that's visible in the center of the bottom of each foot, or does one need to do something else inside the unit, i.e., remove a nut or something like that? Just curious if I need to open it up or not to swap out the feet.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Chris

I'm using inner tubes under my SA-11S2. Got air and stage. Cannot be happier!

Typically, the sheet metal enclosure is tapped for the screws. Just unscrew the feet from the outside.

I forgot to mention the stock foots can be unscrewed from the bottom quite easily, you do not have to open the top at all. I hope it helps.

I have put 4 Herbie Tenderfoot under the SA15S1, I could not tell you if they make a huge difference, but I would say the change is subtle.
I also replaced the stock IEC to a gold Furutech, and the stock female RCAs to gold Furutech and silver hookup. The change in sonic was more dramatic.
Happy listening,
Clarence
I forgot to ask, what subtle changes did you note with the Tenderfeet, and what type of rack do you have, i.e., do you have a good rack that already isolates a lot of vibration?
Thanks
Chris

I have a solid maple rack designed by me and have it made by one of those solid wood furniture company nearby. It is a pretty good rack and rock solid. Many people believe maple wood has a nice tone. The silver hookup was the leftover from my speaker cable project. I recalled it is 24AWG wire from Homegrown.

Hi Clarence
Thanks so much for your helpful response. What type of silver wire did you use for hooking up the RCA's?
