Faster rips probably don't improve sound, but it must mean better reading of the disc or something. Where to buy other than the four dealers on aaimports site?

I guess that there might still be some errors without the Millennium that are gone with it, but I have not seem many instances where Exact Copy reports any errors with or without. Very curious I would say.
Norm,
I have used several of the Herbies CD mats and like the original the best. I haven't tried the black hole yet. What I have noticed is that with my old CEC TL2 transport, the mat made a huge improvement. When I bought the AA drive 1 MK 2 from you, the mats seemed to make little or no difference. I am wondering if they make easily discernable improvements with higher quality transports? This question is for all users of the millenium mat.

and Exemplar music server. In both of these it works quite well. On the server it has made me reload all the cds that I had previously ripped.
I do have a friend who raves about the Millennium on his Lindemann 820S sacd player. I suspect that were we to try many transports we would agree with hotbird.
I use an AA Reference Drive2 now, upgraded from an AA Drive1 Mk2 and in both cases I can hear the differences.
I also use it for for my Oppo DVD player when watching DVDs.Incidentally, if you are curious how much better the Ref Drive2 is over the previous Drive1, it's certainly way better and you may drop your jaw that a transport can make so MUCH difference. For those that bought the MBL transport to replace the Drive1, please please do listen to the AA Ref Drive2, I bet you may have to sell off the MBL transport after that ;-)
