holes in a chassis.
I know the Greenlee punches are expensive and not an option.
Follow Ups:
Why not chassis mount that goes in nice round hole??

"Need source for cutting/punching duplex receptacles holes in chasis".
He wants to mount a receptacle - not an inlet - into a chasis.
So I referred him to round chasis mount receptacles.
What do IEC inlets have to do with anything??
???
Confused,
Presto
I've been looking for an IEC inlet which mounts to a chassis via a round hole for quite a while with no success. I'd never seen a receptacle that mounts in a round hole either. So, when I saw a pointer to the receptacle in question, I thought the author might also know where to find the inlect I am seeking.
It seemed like a reasonable question to ask at the time.
I've never run across a chassis mount IEC inlet that is round. If the hole is of sufficient diameter, what you can do is cut out a disk of metal or hard plastic large enough to cover the hole all around by approx.1/4 inch. Drill 3 or four holes in the disk for screws. Use the drilled holes as a template for marking around the chassis hole.Cut out the center of the disk for a standard IEC inlet, preferably a Furutech Bronze type.
Now your disk can be mounted inside or outside, whichever looks best. It will also provide resonance control, depending on the disk material.

Well, the reason I ask is that duplex receptacles usually get put into wall boxes and covered with a cover plate. They don't usually get put into the side of a metal enclosure.
The single ones, using a simple round hole, usually do.
Look, if you want to spend hundreds on a special punch, go ahead. I'm just saying there is a solution available that allows you to use a $5 hole saw instead - and it looks great too.

I am looking to have the duplex cutouts machined.
I've done the unibit hole thing for the singles...PITFA. Especially if it's steel. Always looks "close" to professional.
I've got several duplex to be mounted in a mid sized enclosure, for my rack so I wish to have it functional and presentable.
