In Reply to: RE: Problem with Rotel 855 after op amp swap. Help please! posted by ramw on January 08, 2008 at 02:11:09
Thank you,
I will check on that as well. I am trying to secure wire so I can bypass the pcb trace as in the other reply. But this is might be the issue too because I do notice the braid is bent after I put back everything.
Thanks
Follow Ups:
I urge you to check the proper insertion of the wire film going from the display panel to the pcb, Lift the lock of the connector and see if every single wire tip is in the right place/depth, or maybe it's 180degs rotated by you.
Will do check tonight. At this point, I am willing to try anything.
BTW, I recall once putting by mistake a single op-amp instead of a dual in a Rotel player and destroyed the digital filter which caused the same phenomenon as well. I hope for you it's not a nearby case.
because I only put in the op amp recommended previously as direct replacement by aa inmates. I am really stock right now because can not find any connection wrong with mine. and I do not know where else to check.
Thank you so much
