I recently had my preamp updated with new caps and volume control and I have old caps and the volume pot laying around. I have no use for them and wanted to offer them on a first come basis to anyone that may want them. All I ask is for the taker to pickup the postage. These parts were all 100% working/good when the preamp went in for the work. These parts are too good to chuck in a landfill ... especially if one of you guys can put them to use. Picture of the lot attached. Email me if interested.

The BG's were replaced with Continentals.

Yes, SA3000. Mike Elliott did the work ... or actually Dia Phan, Mike's technician extraordinaire. The updates sound marvelous. Enjoying them more as each day goes by.
There's absolutely no sense in me hoarding those parts when a know there's no way in hell I'll ever use them. I had my time with them and got hours and hours of joy from what they can do. It just seems right to pass them along.

Yes, the pictured pot is a TKD.
....and if so, how much improvement did you notice? Can't tell if the pot in the pic is the TKD or not, but thought I'd ask the question since I'm considering the DACT with motor drive for my SA-2000. I have the TKD right now.

Yes, I did upgrade to the DACT. And yes, it is/was a TKD. It's difficult to judge the change what with all new caps, resistors, sockets and Plitron - and I've only had it back since Monday. It does "feel" nice, the DACT that is. The sound, with all the changes, will take some time to run-in and fully evaluate, but I can say this for sure right now ... it DEFINITELY has potential.
Thanks, looking forward to your comments after you've had a chance to better evaluate. Some other nice changes there as well. I noticed that Mike just updated his site and is now offering an even higher grade 6CA4 rectifier tube. Did you do the socket pin mod to run the 6BW4 or stick with the original configuration? Also, I guess you weren't interested in the motor drive? I like my TKD so I'm trying to justify the upgrade. Would probably do the Plitron as well.
