Your right, one has to be very careful. A friend didn't take precautions when doing some work and metal filling ended up where they weren't supposed to and ended up doing some damage upon start up.
I always carefully pack paper towels inside the chassis when I'm working and this catches 95% and a magnet to look around for the rest.
Great recommendation! I have a flexible magnetic sheet I can lay in the path of potential "droppings". It is kind of like a big sheet of refrigerator magnet material for business cards, etc.
I wish the nibbler would work. It would be so much more controlled and less small flying pieces. But oh well it is what it is.
