Have you tried using both the Myrtlewood footers and the Herbie's pads together, one on top of the other?
Follow Ups:
I haven't tried that combo. It may be worthy to try. So, you lay Myrtle wood blocks against the shelf, then the pad, then component on top of the pad?
what do you think of ISO-CUP? i intend to try it to the integrated amp.
thanks.
Which isn't to say I've tried the combo. Just sounds delicious is all.
Now go grab you a couple of brownies and a glass of milk and have a nice weekend.
I just had two glasses of milk and 3/4 slice of Peanut Butter Cup pie.
BTW, have you played with myrtle wood footers?
LOL. I can relate to your sweet tooth. I have experimented somewhat with some Myrtle block footers on a few components. By themselves, their resonate cancellations didn't help any components on them. However, with a Myrtle block on the bottom and a Herbie tiny foot on top, my vintage Pilot 402 receiver sounds very clean and neutral. I also have this same arrangement of feet combination under my tuner. The remainder of my components sound best with different set-ups. My tube preamp has a combo of Herbie feet on bottom with Audio Points( point up) to preamp. My VAC monoblocs sit on a combo of Isol-pads on bottom with Herbie feet on top. All this on the top plate of a MD Promethean base. There are so many types of feet and so many variables that I haven't tried yet. I have tried to resist the feet tweaking for a while so that I can just enjoy the music for a while. I don't want anyone to think that I have a foot fetish, although I do admire women with pretty feet.
From top to bottom
amp
Large DH cones
DH Squares
Herbies db Neutralizer material
Promethean Base (soft springs/TeknaSonic dampers on both plates)
Super DH Cones
DH Squares
Herbies db Neutralizer material
oak floor
This setup sounds so good I doubt I'll mess with it any further.
