Mass, more mass. I like your idea. I hope it'll be sitting on a slab.
You want mass on top too. Pour a thick disk to go on top of the air tube. Or use a thick maple slab.
I used to have a BIG isolation platform for making holograms. I built it on a slab floor. It had a pedestal of layers of carpet and concrete blocks, three feet high and four feet square. On top of that it had plywood and four wheel barrow inner tubes. Then it had a four foot by four foot by 1 foot deep plywood box on top. The box was filled with eight hundred pounds of double washed dust free 1 mm amber sand. You place your mirrors and lenses on posts stuck into the sand. You make your exposures in the wee hours of the morning. You hold your breath so as not to disturb the air or make sound or vibrations.
For my CDP I use a "sandwich" of plexiglas, aluminum, butyl rubber, MDF, butyl rubber, aluminum, plexiglas. Seven layers bonded togather. This sits on three roller bearings and has sorbothane footers on top. I put my CDP on that and bags of lead shot on top of the CDP. See the link below for my previos post on this.
Follow Ups:
If you put a slab on the sand and the component on that the sand can compress and isn't free to move. By putting things into the sand you increase the effectiveness even if you attract cats and dogs... and small children!
My cat was VERY interested in that 800 pounds of sand. I kept a plywood cover on it.
... looks longingly at your 800lbs of sand...
