I have been using the Alan Maher power enhancers in conjunction with Hammond chokes in my stereo music system and separate 5.1 home theater. I have seven dedicated lines and use seven PE's and seven chokes. I tried putting a ferrite core on one of the individual power cords from the choke and found, rather surprisingly, that the effects were entirely positive. Like many here I've never been satisfied with the effect of ferrite cores on power or signal cables. Although they seem to offer some benefits these were always overshadowed by their negative effects. I continued to place ferrite cores on each of the other chokes. In all cases the results were extremely positive. I now have a single core on each choke. I did find that the type of core made a difference. I prefer a product called Blockers to the red Audioquest cores. These were the only two types I had on hand to try. The positive effects of the Blockers? I found that they improved top to bottom clarity and high frequency purity.

I agree the Blockers are some of the best I have seen over the years....especially for this type of parallel application. I haven't seen them in a long time....where did you find them? Percy sells a EMI core that is almost as good as the Blocker...but it still needs help.

I purchased the Blockers new, probably about twenty years ago.
Are these the white Blockers from TDK?
No
Alan
well.....that is about the last time I saw them too.
