Any one tried them? Good? How do they compare to say polystyrenes, polypropylenes, etc.?

in all of my projects. I match them channel to channel too. Unfortunately there are not high enough values and voltages for common coupling applications, especially tube ones. I'm very pleased with their sound, however and use them everywhre else.

So I can look it up. Digi-Key front page doesn't help.

ps. Would like to hear your opinion.
Cool. I appreciate your experienced words. Thanks
I've convinced myself I can use them in an RIAA passive EQ network driven directly by a relatively low output moving coil phono cartridge, and still not have noise problems. We'll see. Obviously the concern will be EMI since my EQ will only be attenuating. This is why I ended up at the PPS crossroads, it seems they are the popular SMT film capacitor material of the moment and I will definitely favor SMT for a low noise design, think high EMI immunity. I hear you about the small values issue, especially since I am going SMT on this project. That seems to be the unfortunate downside of any of the film cap types to varying degrees. These gigantic packages don't lend themselves as well to really tightening up loops to avoid EMI.
