...seem to believe the Heath FM3 warrants the expense and effort of an outboard MPX decoder let alone a complete rebuild and alignment. Apparently your experience with the tuner is significantly more positive than mine. Maybe I should reevaluate? Care to relate your experience with the Heath FM3?
The Bench MPX decoder is easy enough, but if the Heath tuner is a POS, don't bother.

It's just that in my experience valve FM front ends do have some advantages. If you drive them real hard, and well.
