With nowadays instrumentation even more results might be easily obtained.
By the way, the papers basically confirm that the best way to fully appreciate a record/streaming is to listen to the program by an (open) studio headphone.
Unfortunately this is not the way the average listener appreciates.
Most people prefer listening in a normal listening room.
There is also another intriguing fact (occasionally reported by John Broskie).
Good tube amplifiers are the best for listening by a studio headphone (provided that no hum is audible).
