It looks like the Z565, A431, A470, PA060 are no longer available from normal sources. I suspect this is from Classictone/Magnetic components? no longer producing transformers.
I am a fan of the A431 - haven't had a chance to hear a real Z565. What I had bought from Heyboer was called a Z565 but wasn't a clone.
I'm playing with Edcor transformers now - but a bit sad to no longer have those other options!
Heyboer winds some nice stuff. Get your wallet out! Know how to ask for what you want in specific terms as well.

Oddly, the previous URL I posted for their "Going Out of Business" page is now gone. Maybe this is good news?

Gang,
I used one of their power transformers in a guitar amp I build. Heyboer has picked up a number of their catalog and I got a few of their initial offering and they are pretty close to ClassicTone offering.
Both Triode and TubeDepot may still have some old stock as they both went into ClassicTone and bought everything that was available back in Oct 2020 when this all happened.
Thanks,
Gordon

I see that now. They've changed the pages, it was more obvious before. Triode Electronics will hopefully find a new winder soon.

Agree, they've been a good source of quality transformers at a good price.
Dynakit Parts is currently showing a good amount of their Dynaco transformers listed as "out of stock", which to me may not be the same thing as "no longer available".
My understanding is that with so many people being home due to plague restrictions, a lot of old projects were finally getting some attention, and the transformer winders are temporarily unable to keep up with the demand.
You reminded me I have a pair of the new Dynaco 120 watt transformers from decades ago stashed away. I'll have to look for them.
Real Dynaco clones came from Triode Electronics.

...just buy the business and I'm sure their transformer supplier information is part of the deal.
I just saw this post today (link below)

I'm in a similar boat. Additionally, I wouldn't want the aggravation, and I don't blame them for trying to find someone else buy the business.
I actually think Latino gets his from Heyboer. I know he's got a bigger version for the Dynaco ST120.
I love his products and the whole Dynaco lineup by the way.
I have a pair of real Z565s. Should I be using them in my 6b4g PP amp?
I was thinking about this the other day and the Z565's primary impedance would be better than what I'm running in there now.

What is presently in that amp Tre? Z565 have a very good reputation. I believe they're 7200 with 23% UL taps but most claim 8K.
Eico HF-87 output transformers. I think they are 3400 ohms. Too low for the 6b4gs. Back when I was using them I probably hooked to the 4 ohm tap.
John Atwood tested the Z565 at 9.5K.

re "John Atwood tested the Z565 at 9.5K."
According to the usual sources, it's 8K. I see that he also says the A470 is 5.6K ohms; the usual sources say 4.3K. I have some doubts about these measurements...
I've measured most of the Dynaco transformers with a Wayne-Kerr impedance analyzer- impedance varies with secondary used, I used 8 Ohms. At 1 KHz:
A410: 9400
A420: 7200
A430: 4700
A470: 5150
Z565: 8300
Z565-48 Clone: 8250
These include winding resistance as they're measured loaded. All will be lower if measured by voltage ratio (unloaded).
I have a pair of "A470"s, bought from Triode more than 20 years ago; I just now measured the turns ratios and got:
4 ohm tap: 4190 ohms anode-anode
8 ohm tap: 4676 --- " ---
16 ohm tap: 4306 --- " ---
Primary end-end DC resistance about 200 ohms, so a reasonable guess is to add 400 ohms for a loaded transformer (the secondary DCR is more difficult to measure so I didn't). That gives 5076 ohms on the 8-ohm tap, consistent with your 5150 measurement.
So it looks like the 4300 ohm spec is for the turns ratio, not the actual tube load impedance. And the 8 ohm tap is slightly different from the others.
People often refer to this body of work as though it were some sort of Bible for transformers. I have always suspected it to be seriously flawed.

Yep. Dave Gillespie, author of the EFB mod for the SCA-35 and ST-35 (which both use the Z-565) wrote, "The Z-565 is an 8K primary transformer..."
As I recall Atwood said the Z565 had response to 40khz and the square wave response was excellent. I was surprised about the 9.5Khz part.
