Chip647 showed the schematic in his post to this thread.I built 4 PP45/2A3 stereo amps, one using a Para-feed E-P choke ,like as shown in the Seth 2A3 design ....another PP45/2A3 stereo amp used a small Edcor inter-stage to couple the input to PP outputs.... and another PP45/2A3 stereo amp that used E-P Inter-stages.
Of the 4 ,all of which have new homes, the one with the E-P iknter-stages sound best
I still own a Stereo PP45/2A3 with custom iron amp and a pair of Wurlitzer PP45 mono-blocks with custom iron also.
...........Last word PPDHT is very good , but there's magic in SETDHT done right !

Done done it , Willie, it is one I am considering. Thanks.
I know a pair you can probably acquire. They got replaced by a pair of E-Linear 807 monoblocks...:)
cheers,
Douglas
Friend, I would not hurt thee for the world...but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.
It would be a lot of fun to A-B the Seth 2a3 against an E-linear 807 amplifier.
It was not as much fun as you might think...LOL As far as the comparison went it was a bit of a 'WOW' for both of us. Seth went back in a few times and we sat there giggling about how those old pentodes were so much cleaner and clear-er than the 2A3's.
Was wishing I had a grid choke for the finals, just to even out the comparison in terms of parts. The front end was a 6H6/FQP1N50 cascode. FET's on top.
cheers,
Douglas
