Actually, sending one or two on their way to new caretakers (we can't own this stuff, I have decided -- it tends to own us). :)
Meanwhile, it's been fun hookin' a few up, sorting through the astonishingly deep, disorganized, and low-quality collection of "software" (i.e., tapes) lurking in various nooks and crannies here, and punchin' a few buttons.
This forum has tended to be a bit torpid of late, so I figured I'd offer a few piccies.
:)
all the best,

Follow Ups:
In all related to tape, become a member of "Tapeheads".
It's free, the people are very friendly, and everyone knows their stuff. Lots of professional techs there, and plenty of talented amateurs.
Proudly serving content-free posts since 1984.
Some good local tape deck support in the Boston metro area.
Thanks, though.
all the best,

One of the belts is broken and I'm long overdue in installing a new one. From what I've read that is a somewhat complicated procedure to insure all the timing is correct.
I do have a fair collection of tapes which sounded pretty decent the last time I listened to any of them.
