I believe that Sanyo made this line of decks for Nakamichi.
Look for better if you really want to play with cassettes.
If you're in northern New England, I have a working BX-125 (silver; very similar but newer) in its original carton that you can have if you really want one and if you can schlepp over & get it. Not really worth shipping at 2019 rates. :(
Thought I had a photo of it, but I don't have one handy -- here's a silver BX-100 for comparison. I know that I gave this one away at some point (in working condition).

I thought it was Sankyo rather than Sanyo and that they made only the transport mechanism, not the whole deck. Could be wrong though.

Sorry. my Nak knowledge, such as it is, is limited to the only Nak I've ever owned, the BX-300.. But there's a Yahoo site --"Nak Talk" -- whose members could probably come up with what you need to know.
It wasn't even a typo, I just wasn't thinking and I didn't double-check!
