I picked up a Precise 111 tube tester that came damaged (in shipping or otherwise).

As background, I know very little about circuitry, and can only barely read parts of a schematic. I do not even qualify as novice (although I believe I can go through the exhaustive calibration procedure for this tester).

That being said, the tester seems to work other than the shorts light. One of the issues is that a wire seems to have come loose from a component attached to the shorts light, but I do not know what the component is. You can, however, see it in the middle of the photo.

If someone has an idea of what that is (or how to identify it), please let me know.

I have the schmatic, but for some reason the shorts lamp does not seem to be on it (there is a fuse lamp and a pilot lamp that are plain as day). The other end of the component is attached to the plate shunt switch, but I can't figure out where that is on the schematic either. I can provide a copy of the manual (with the scematic) if someone wants to look.

Also, as you can see from the photo, this tester apparently sat in a damp environment as there is mildew on a lot of the wiring. What is the best way to clean that off?
