It's about having an excuse to make an eye candy video.
The dance shuffle videos are popular. I wonder why. I also find it amusing they are covering dance hits videos from the early 1990s
This doesn't have as many views but the video quality is better.

Every once in a while, me and my friends gather to party on the sound of dance music, as if we were teenagers or young adults. It sounds great on the big horn system. Of course, not once have I mentioned this on any audiophile group I'm part of ;-)
When audiophiles reach out to me about music, enthusiasm is hard to measure or quantify. But you can feel their excitement, when they talk about (a) the broad category of "dance music," and (b) heavy metal. It's just that, since audiophiles communicate privately, and don't post here on AA, AA readers unfortunately miss out on these "behind the scenes" conversations.
Electronic Dance Music boomed in 1994, and has been strong, ever since. Here in the Bay Area, the Freestyle Jam has always been deliriously popular. Here in San Jose, the Freestyle Explosion has been, I believed (re)scheduled for August. Many of my friends, now middle-aged moms, can't wait to go. And if they have audiophile husbands, the latter will gladly go.
When we turned adult in the 1990s, dance music was our soundtrack. Now, audio stations lazily shovel it under the "old school" umbrella.
