I have found 2 sets of Specta speakers for sale in the Anaheim area I would like to purchase but the women who owns them (husband has passed) doesn't know how to take off the interfaces and bases for shipping. Anyone in the area who could possibly help? Compensation available. Please pm me if interested. Thanks!

Thanks, me too!
Found a pair of Acoustat Spectra 6600 for sale in Philly. Bought them and will fly there next week to prepare for shipping. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for the replies.
Congratulations!
Hope they're all you expect them to be.
Acoustats forever!
that will likely work with a SPECTRA for disassembly and provide pics along the way. Short version:1. Disconnect from power source and allow several hours for voltage bleed.
2. Remove four sheet metal screws (not bolts) found two on either side of interface.
3. Tilt unit backwards to reveal connections.
4. Unscrew and remove the two color coded signal wires attached by spades to the central HV panel.
5. Pull red bias pin from center. Ideally, short it against one of the other terminals to shunt any stray voltage.
6. Remove screws attaching remaining housing from base.
7. Remove screws attaching panel to base.I've already posted a view of the interface internals where the signal wire terminals (blue/black) and bias pin are located.

Thanks. I actually need someone to disassemble and place on pallets.
