G'Day All,
After several years of "health issues" I have been able to rebuild The Quad ESL web site. The new site, apart from cosmetic updates has a discussion forum. So, anyone who wants to talk exclusively Quad issues, in particular the Original Quad ESL is more than welcome to come on over.
Regards,
Dr Gary Jacobson

Is it possible to remove the background image? It covers 2/3'rds of each page making it very hard to read.

G'Day,
I think that may be the "navigation" background image. It was "fixed" (position wise). I have changed it so that it scrolls up with the page so it will not obscure reading.
Let me know how that goes.

Gary
This is wonderful news. I acquired my third pair of the ESLs last year and I will hold on to these forever. They are original with the exception of the EHT boards which were replaced. I have had about 20 pairs of speakers over the years but I keep coming back to the old Quads. They have limitations but, for me, they are still the most accurate and musical speakers ever made.
I have registered on the new Forum but I was not able to add any content in the "introduce yourself" area. Possibly, something is wrong.

G'Day Terry,
I've replied to yuo on a private channel regarding rego. The site is still being updated daily so you might have been a victim of a "glitch" as they say. I can't see your details, so the registration itself may not have worked properly. If you try registering again and it does not complete properly I will do it manually. A successful registration should have resulted in a verification email...so check for that when you try again.
Regards,
Gary
I just registered again and this time I did get a verification email.

Thank you, sir! Sorry to hear about the health issues, but glad you're back and that the site is back too. I look forward to exploring it over the next few days.
Grateful for your work here. I have ESLs and ESL-63s. I'm loving both, but for me, the ESL rules!
Cheers,
George
G'Day,
Hope you like it. Not quite complete yet, but getting there. Please register with The Forum - you will be among the first :)
