Let's not assume that yet.I am working long hours on a project and it is already past 4am here in Florida, with still a few more hours to go. Then I'll have to rest before taking off for an appointment. I should be back home by 6pm Eastern.
With luck, the gang will help you enough before then, but just in case they are too busy this weekend...we can get on the phone after that time. I think it is going to be late at night at your end but we can do it later on (and I am usually alive and kicking until 2am Eastern or later...like now). Sunday may be fine also.
The cost for me to call Israel is really nothing as long as it is a land line at your end. If you want, I can call you. Or if you prefer, I'll email you my phone # for you to call me. (however, don't be shy about me calling...it is free for me to do so to a regular, non-cell line).
If you want to do this, send me an email via the forum and propose a time. I'll do my best to make myself available.

I spoke with JBen on the phone today - he called me across the world to try to help out, which was extremely generous of him.
Anyway, I opened up the speakers and can't see anything amiss. Attached is a pic of the crossover and another measurement (this time at the listening position) in case that speaks to anyone.

Here's the crossover...

Tks for posting the diagram. Newbies may get lost for a while, trying to find them in the MUG.
When I spoke with TheSloth, he was at a campus, not at home. We agreed that he can buy some alligator jumper cables and a meter to carry out tests. Darn...I was going to say VTVM...ha ha! (I built a few of those from kits back in my day.)
I also asked him to take the pictures and post them here so that we all could pitch in.
The MMGs that I have are old old old. They still have the hole where one inserts the crank to get them started. LOL!
Anyway, they made them with the same kind of xover (1st/2nd order) as the 12s, though different values and no bypass cap on the hi pass. Still, when I replaced it with newer equivalents of better quality, the pedigree of this type of xover showed.
After a lot of testing, I wound up bi-amping with a line-level passive filter of the same type (1st/2nd). This PLLXO can easily be reconfigured with small quality caps. So, I have various options of [1st/1st order] and [1st/2nd order] xover. To this day, the 1st/2nd type is the best one for this type of old MMG (their panel wiring layout is also different from current ones.)

To Sloth
Hope it all works out for ya.
Hi OG! Nahhh, you know me. Always looking for a profit. If I am lucky, I will get a cup of expresso sent from Starbucks in Tel Aviv. Anything for a cup of coffee!
Which reminds me that it is time to brew some more. Normally, it is 9 expressos a day but I am slightly behind today...I'd better catch up.
Best!
