I notice that your speakers are at 45 degree angles as 'emsquare' mentioned. I've never tried that - maybe I should. I have gone all the way to 'Dawnrazor's' crazy setup - worked amazingly well (not crazy after all ;-). A closeup shot of that TT would be cool - what is it? What amps are those (you've mentioned it before, but my memory fails me)? I've never heard Maggies driven by tubes, but I'd like to someday.

  The amps are ASL Hurricanes 200w pentode 100w triode
  he turntable is a Basis 1400 with a modified Rega 300 and Ortofon 2m bronze cartridge

      Yes I do have a VTL amp. Now in a second system with my Lowthers. Also still have my Oddesey Khartego and Transcendent Sount OTLs. Seem to collect amps
