  The Fish Tank Gravel sounds like a safer alternative to what I was considering. What was your experience in the effect on the sound of the weighted stands?

    To be honest I spent no time with the unfilled stands & filled them right away. The slab of ubatuba did add alot more stabilty the the set. If you get the gravel dont get it too fine or it will pour out faster every time you take the feet off. Across the bpard the Mye stands made a major change. A friend has the 1.6 on the standard maggie stands I feel there is more control & detail with the Mye's.
