Hopefully it will be their recently shown "mini" maggie. The cure for us with small listening rooms.Too bad I don't have a Maggie dealer within a 4 hour drive...would be really nice if they sold these factory direct.
BTW, I noticed that I linked to a BRAND NEW planar forum at the Circle. Neat :^)

Like you, I also hope they are going to show the Mini Maggies.
The only real problem I forsee with this model, going by my conversation I had with Wendell last year, is price. It's only speculation until is official, but it seems that two mini maggies + 1 woofer are costing more than a pair of 1.7s. Furthermore, ideally one would need two woofers, like in their demonstrations, so price would be even higher.
Yeah, that is a problem. I guess how much of a problem depends on how good they are. I know that the woofers go for $1600. If they can give you sound comparable to a 3.6 in a small room, it would be worth it. I'm not sure how you could justify that kind of money for the likes of a computer setup, though.
Also, I assume they'll be selling them without the woofer for use forex as high quality surround speakers?
I'm not sure why the woofer is so much more expensive than say a pair of MMG's -- two magnet assemblies and diaphragms, and . . . ? I suppose dealer markup, plus the cabinet . . .
For some reason I remember reading a blog about a "trip to the Magnepan factory".
I may be mistaken but I got the impression there were some technical difficulties which made the double-driver technology (used in 20.1's, and the new woofer), substantially more expensive/intricate than the normal drivers beyond just the doubling.
Interesting. I've read a couple of tour accounts but I don't remember reading that one.
They are "tweaking the pricing structure" and manufacturing costs.
