30 deg overall dispersion would be more than adequate? IE. you don't have to have 45 deg?
Whatever, the dispersion my Maggie IIIas have is more than enough. :-))

Sound Lab stats come in 22, 45 and 90 degree flavors. Typically the narrower versions are used in arrays like Ray Kimber has displayed at RMAF with triple 922s (nine foot tall - 22 degree radiation) and at Vegas with double 922s. I would opt for double 945s with the steel frames.

Thanks for explaining the different dispersions - yes, the 45 deg version which kentaja has would be the one to go for, IMO, if you only have room (or the money! :-)) ) for 1 pair.

I don't have a pair of SoundLab. They are on the bucket list! For now I must be content with a pair of Quad ESL63.
I prefer a 90 degree radiation angle which is the standard configuration for the U-1 . And yes, I would love to hear a large Sound Lab array. When I visited the factory in Utah, I was shown a picture of a proof-of-concept experiment conducted at a large auditorium. It consisted of twenty 922s in a five-wide-by-two-tall (about eighteen feet square) stereo array. Pretty cool. :)

Actually it was five wide by two tall per channel , totaling 20 speakers. The proposed arrays are much taller, I think five or six high, to fully cover the LDS Conference Center, which comfortably seats 21,000 people.

Look again at my description. I was given a tour of the LDS Conference Center by a co-worker. It is indeed a very large space.

Mostly. I was filling in the blanks. The proposed arrays are 6 speakers high by 5 speakers high, for a total of 60 speakers for the two channels. I haven't seen the facility in person, but there are plenty of photos online to get an idea.
