thanks everyone for the replies!
my budget will only allow me to go for the sound anchors at this time. i live pretty close to where they make them so i would save on shipping costs. i figure i will give them a shot. the mye stands do look great though!
thanks again.

also, would it make sense to spend the 40+ dollars on the home depot method (brackets) if i can just buy the sound anchors? is it possible the brackets will be as satisfying as the sound anchors?thanks in advance.

If you can diy, go for it! All you really are doing is raising the panels and making them vertical. Before I bought the Sound Anchors, did a test run with 8x8x16 cinder blocks and wood spacers under the stock feet. It did improve the performance when the MMGs were in my decent sized livingroom.
Now that they are in my smaller home office/mancave, they do better lower and tilted back.
Either way try with the middle of the panels aimed at your listening ear height.

thanks for the reply.
i have two small children and i am not sure the bricks would go over well in the living room (the home depot diy). i do like the idea of the roof brackets without the bricks but i am not sure i wont want them raised after that. it seems like the way to go is the anchors.
Actually the bricks only stayed in my living room for a few hours, just long enough to determine whether or not raising and uprighty the panels was worth the expense.
I do recall after I installed my SA stands, the wife made a comment about the MMGs now looking like "robots", so I guess you can't win either way. :^)
