Let'm burn
Follow Ups:
Nah. Ain't gonna happen. Iran's got nothing. The Saudis would crush them like a bug, especially with all their U.S.-made F-15 fighter jets. The I'myourtollas would be hiding in their turbans.
Just another distraction from what's really going on.
BTW, the U.S. knows exactly where those drones are built.

The Saudis and Iranians have been in a war with each other over Yemen since 2015.
Ok, so, they're already at war.
The Saudis should bomb the crap out of the Iranians, and take out those drone factories in the process. Who the heck is in charge around here?!
That would solve multiple problems: No more spending millions of Dollars on "peace talks" in Geneve, Vienna, Amsterdamit, Winterstruck or wherever, and, the U.S. won't have to spend millions of Dollars on jet fuel flying "diplomats" and their entourages and press corp back and forth across the oceans to "talk", thus helping to save the planet AND lowering the price of Jet-A fuel. It's a win-win-win-win.

interesting that Iran claims to have shot down two F15's! On the otherhand it's a well known fact that there has never been an F15 actually shot down by anybody during it's entire life span. Russia has tried many times, and failed many times. I'll take that claim with a grain of salt!
Gary
One crashed for undisclosed reasons, and the other was damaged by a SAM but was able to return.
an F15 can fly well with a broken main spar in the wing. They're built like a tank. It can turn much harder than a human being can stand. Accelerate in a 90 degree climb for what seems forever, and ruin your day for what seems like forever.
Gary
An upgraded F-15 is at least as good as anybody else's current generation fighter, which is amazing for 1968/1969 design. They are vulnerable to SAMs though. Safe ranges have to be large because the F-15 has big radar and infrared signatures.
Then we could blackmail the Saudis into giving us dirt on TFG in exchange for weapons.
Wait a minute. That seems vaguely familiar somehow ...
Two Saudi oil processing facilities were attacked in 2019, temporarily dropping their capacity by about 50%. This year, the Saudi F1 race was almost cancelled because a nearby oil depot was hit. There were huge clouds of black smoke in the distance during Friday practice. Earlier in the year, they fired ballistic missiles at Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
Or we all are fucked.
Personally I feel the best strategy for the USA would be a rapprochement with Iran; that would keep the Sunni Arab oil states showing a little more deference. Biden's seeking renewal of the nukes treaty is good idea.
The obstacle, of course, is Israeli Right-wing sentiment in the American pro-Zionist lobby.
Dmitri Shostakovich
Essentially I was only suggesting that rapprochement with Iran might be a good way to balancing Shia/Sunni and Iranian/Arab conflicts and, potentially, ending surrogate wars and regional terrorism.
At the same time a better relationship with Iran would undermine a Russian-Iranian alliance and free Iranian oil to ease current oil shortages.
Unfortunately I went on to mention the principal obstacle to such a US rapprochement strategy -- my apology for that .
Dmitri Shostakovich
Since you mentioned Iran, I wonder if there is.Outside of the Zionist scumbags, that is.

The obvious carrot for Iran is sanctions relief. But why are we interested in pursuing a treaty if Iran isn't willing to stop the regional proxy wars?
Are they ever going to stop creating all the problems in this world?
It's worth distinguishing between Jews and Zionism extremism.
It's sad the Zionist nationalism is rampant in Israel, but the problem that's strangling US foreign policy is that it's rampant among the Zionist lobby in the USA.
Dmitri Shostakovich
Please start with basic reading, with developing primitive understanding of meaning of such words as Zionism and Zionists.
To give you the easiest explanation, something you can take home, Zionists are what our Patriots were.
Otherwise you are promulgating cheapest antisemitic propaganda.
" A Zionist is a follower of Zionism, a movement that resulted in the establishment and development of the state of Israel "
My wife is Jewish Vic, and I'm 4% Jewish and didn't know it until my blood test a year ago. I'm shaking my head way too much at the extreme stupidity of Americans and what's happening today.
Don't bother to try and give a comparison
This, my friend, is the tried & true mechanism to deflect criticism of the Israeli government -- won't work with me.
Dmitri Shostakovich
Has it ever occur to you that there are extremists in any land, in any country, in any denomination? And yet it is the "Zionist extremists" that occupy you mind, that you hear about.
When was last time anyone admitted he hated Jews? Oh, no... he simply disliked the "Zionist extremists". He disagreed with Israel, but the Jews are fine... and you know what? He even has Jewish friends!
That obsession is always obvious, just like it was obvious with the Nazi.
I don't hate Jews. I've know hundreds at least, more accurately thousands on account of the places I've lived, worked, gone to school. I've interacted with Jews in almost every capacity imaginable: some I liked, some I didn't in about the same ration as the general population.
Dmitri Shostakovich
Sure would make the State Department, the Foreign Office and many useful idiot American Jews happy.
Fortunately, the half of the Israeli electorate who hoped for a rapprochement with The House Of Peace as being the Jewish thing to do has finally seen the light and united behind the realists.
Novus Ordo Seclorum
You are right about useful idiots.BTW, the history of IAF is amazing... from literally nothing to arguably the best air force in the world in a few short decades.

You sound like the comments section of RT.
Frightening

Not all Jews, even in Israel, are extremist nationalist. Labor government have been much more conciliatory the Netanyahu's Right-wind coalition.
Extremist nationalism is a an affliction in many countries.

Kishinev was the site of what is probably the most consequential Jewish pogrom ever, as it directly prompted large scale Jewish emigration from Russian territories, especially to the USA. And do you know who prompted that pogrom? That was, Pavel Krushevan, a publisher, writer, and notorious anti-Semite. Krushevan unrelentingly defamed Jews in his newspaper Bessarabets. And it was Krushevan who published the very first known issue of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. As Stanford University historian Steven Zipperstein writes, "He [Krushevan] was almost certainly its author or co-author" (Zipperstein in: Pogrom - Kishinev and the Tilt of History, 2018, page 146).
I'm surprised you don't know this stuff, Scarpia. Get educated!

...simply the desire to live in peace. And yes... to some groups that is "extremist" position, to which Jews are not entitled.
I don't know you, and I have no idea if you are an antisemite, but you are spewing antisemitic hotseshit.
You apparently love Shostakovich... listen again to his 13th symphony... including the text. My favorite part is:
There is no Jewish blood that's blood of mine,
But, hated with a passion that's corrosive
Am I by antisemites like a Jew.
And that is why I call myself a Russian!

The best guarantor of security for Israel would be peace with its neighbors including Palestinians. Right-wing Israelis seem intend only on expanding territory and controlling of Palestinians by threat of violence or actual violence.
I've never admired Arab response to the state of Israel, but then, as they say two wrongs don't make a right.
Dmitri Shostakovich
The European Jews would be all perfectly safe if they simply began to love Hitler, understand his needs.
Just accept that there is irrational hatred.
As for Israel, do you think it can sustain its existence forever by force? Do you think that would be righteous as the principal option?
The two-state option is probably best although the one-state would work if Jews and Palestinians put aside their mutual antagonism. But it looks like Right-wing Israelis are looking only to the violence option.
Dmitri Shostakovich
With all the wars and terrorism you somehow are still talking about some "animosity".
How do you think someone should feel towards a murderer, trying to kill him?
But yes, Israel shall exist, probably for as long as the Western civilization does. Maybe even longer, as to them "Never Again!" are not empty words.
Extort them to produce more oil at dirt cheap prices in exchange for more US made military weapons and support.
