...each Saturday - 29+ miles, 2 hours. I have three fairly serious hills each way.I also take two mandatory breaks - as I told myself I am there not just to pedal, but also to enjoy the nature, so I sit for 10-15 minutes, eat, drink, talk to my wife on the phone, watch the river flow and birds dive for fish. That time does not count towards those two hours.
I guess you are retired? I can practically ride twice a week, Tuesday after work and then Saturday. I figure that gives me enough exercise so I can legitimately spend other evenings in my basement workshop. :)
You are doing great, so keep on pedaling!

At the turn round point, I sat for about 10 minutes before starting back.
Yep, I'm retired. My wife is still working but even if she were retired too, she's a late riser. I have the mornings to myself.

Last Saturday it was pretty chilly, even as I started at 9am. So the first 20-30 minutes it was uncomfortable. So I bought arms warmer, that you can take off after a while.

Also a really good Pearl Izumi jacket. Light weight, looks good, very warm, can be rolled up and stuffed in the tail bag and not get wrinkled.
Long bib pants, too.
I had the arm warmers on this morning but pulled them off when I got to the turn around.

...tons of gear, but I foolishly sold most of it 16 years ago, when I stopped riding. Now trying to buy it again and with bad luck. Bought pants, that are "sized XL" - I was not even able to pull it over my ankle, they truly were sized "extra Asian". I see now some gear has official Asian sizing.

The clothes are too big. XL is too big, L is borderline.
I picked up a Patagonia fly fishing shirt--they're excellent for riding--got an L instead of a medium and it fits me like a sack.

seemed sized for a child. Definitely varied some among manufacturers, though.
