Class D is like anything else. Some are better than others. I've got 4 of them, including an early Bel Canto Evo. They all sound different. That said, none of them use current modules. None stayed in my main system long. I won't buy an amp strictly because it may be class D, but I won't not buy it because it's class D either.
Has Purify replaced Hypex as the new audio God?
Just curious.

I hated the thought of class D Then a friend dropped off a NAD with hypex Ncore for me to listen to. I hooked it into my system and was expecting to not like it and I hated the fact I loved it!!! Now there is now going backwards for me.
Good amps with a good design can produce square waves but not all class A and class a/b amps can only very well-designed amps can. All class D amps can produce square waves.
Square waves mean fast slew rates killer transients that says it all about class D. Now yes some are better than others but when you have a good class D it's amazing.

Does your keyboard's "comma" key not work? I'm just citing this as an example, although, there are others. Commas in sentences help to make the sentence readable.

I suppose I am an old stick in the mud, but I enjoy my single ended, single gain stage, class A solid state amps with J-FET output transistors so well with my 106 dB speakers that I've never even considering class D amps. Perhaps I should.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
J-fets nice!!! they have a really low noise floor even lower than mosfets!!
and 106 DB sensitivity WOW!!! talk about getting loud with only a few watts!!! I bet a party at your house if you're the DJ really rocks!!!

I agree, hence my extensive search for an ss amp to replace my early tube ones. I bought or borrowed 10 amps of Class A, AB and D ranging from 5 to 300 watts but chose the NAD M33 that uses Purifi Eigentakt Class D technology. Yes, the top of the Class D tree currently.
