You had me right up to the HumanScale office chair.
We had them at work and only ONE was in perfect operating order, after the 'owner' scavanged thru many 'wrecks' to find the appropriate parts.
I don't know what I'd choose. I have a CXO Nightegale chair which is very $$ and Heavy. And gets the worst support of any object needing support I ever owned.
Maybe the Herman Millar Aeron chair? Or the Steelcase Leap?
That nonsense aside, I LOVE the speakers. I'll bet on nearly 100db sensitivity and huge dynamic capability. A total of 80 or 100 watts per speaker will probably get you evicted from your sTATE.
Too much is never enough
Follow Ups:
I've got nothing but good things to say about the World chair, though I understand it may not be ideal in an office setting with a bunch of different sitters/sitting styles. I had the choice between it and the Aeron and, much like audio gear, it came down to personal preference. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that it's a little creakier than a chair of this quality ought to be.
The CAV-75 is 75 watts per channel, which in my mind, appears to be total overkill. The last few years I've been listening to flea powered tubes which never left me wanting for volume.
We had the Humanscale FREEDOM chair. Lots of plastic and breakage prone.
As for amps?
I'd LOVE to try the the Pass Designed....Amp Camp Amp. Maybe too high distortion but certainly in the power ball park. It is single ended Class 'A' and avaialble as a kit for about 330$. Get out your soldering station and hand tools.....
It is a high output impedance design which I think makes it OK for 'big box' speakers.
Too much is never enough
I won't be looking to change amps anytime soon, the Classé has all of the qualities I need for now :)
