Greets!
Hmm, the 811 has way too narrow a horizontal polar response for a K unless mounted vertically, and even then you'll need a super tweeter since it narrows up to much in the HF oriented this way.

Follow Ups:
hey GM - the "match" sounds like hot doggydoo sandblasted through a tinman's funnelhat (but missing very top) - I'm not a lover of 811 anyhow - ha
a K-tube on top is good match but not sure how good pym1298 cna sound at 1k6 xover
best,

Yeah, I'm no fan of the 811 either, much preferring the 511, though it leaves something to be desired also, but what can we expect? They were both designed primarily for BW limited voice PA apps.

if the xover were a bit better and maybe a slot HF tweeter it might be kinda trashy fun and sound like shabby theatre
'wings' (~10" wide) on hinges might be interesting if not good
grabbed 'whatever' parts within sight = 15uF cap 2mH on woofer, 3mH across 8 ohm 806a 15uF feeding '16' ohm pad (no other choice)-----K12's 6-slit port is good and bad - pym1298 doesn't not sound 'extended' like some good 15 and 12 - shodl do 800 - being in K ain't regular circumstances
hey - I broke off a terminal bolt on 806a and about got one gone on 604 - what can one get for substitute including the little fiber insulating washer
whats a good/cheap rectangular horn flare these days?
Freddy
PE had what looked like a decent one as the 'deal of the day' earlier today for half price? But I can't remember the part # now.
It seems reasonable that a re-coner would have some new/used ones lying around and of course GPA........ see if any of these has some:
