No one gets them going well. Even Galaxie 500's cover of Ceremony is a bit dodgy IMO. U2 and Lou Reed singing together should've/could've/would've pulled it off, but could not. Heck, even New Order struggles with it, on the rare occasion that they can get past the sarcasm enough to do one of their old tunes: they stick to the easier ones like Transmission. I heard New Order try to struggle through "She's lost Control" once; man, - it was ugly.
People on this planet don't have any business on theirs.
