His solo album is one of the finest albums I own--sublime in every way.
Hollis took a lengthy break after the last Talk Talk album "Laughing Stock" wherein he studied music composition and counterpoint. He then applied those skills to create a true masterpiece, and promptly retired. There's no music I want more than a new Hollis record. Well, a new Cabaret Voltaire album with Stephen Mallinder is a very close second....
Dave C is correct; I play it rarely and with reverence. He's one of the most gifted musicians I know of. The same can be said of Talk Talk's "Spirit of Eden." You must play it in absolute silence without interruptions by anyone/thing. You really go to a different place.
It's called "Mark Hollis,", and was released in 1998. Ebay has it.
Here's a link to a review of it.
It is possibly the quietest record in history. Completely clearly at one point you can hear the creaking of a chair Hollis is sitting on.
It's a lovely record that only gets played at special times.

Many thanks,

I doubt your local shop carries it!

You're right. The local shops here are rubbish. Amazon seem to think they have a copy. We shall see.
Thanks again -

Just read the review. The first thing they say is that it picks up where Laughing Stock left off. My favourite Talk Talk album !
I can't wait !
Best regards,

You will want to be very calm and quiet before playing it.
No jumping around!!!

And it's a doozie. The review said it picked up where Laughing Stock left off but I feel it is bears closer comparison to the quieter moments in Spirit of Eden in terms of the arrangements and instruments but goes further down the quiet road.
It's a valuable addition to the collection and I'm chuffed !
Many thanks -
