For Grado enthusiasts, the HP-1 is a highly sought after pair of cans.

Some people like the sound of the older Grados more than they do the sound of modern ones. And the polarity switch is considered to be a desirable bonus feature.

Check out the Headfi classified archives if you want a clue as to how much to ask for them in a sale.

I decided to send my HP-1 headphones back to Grado for refurbishment. I suppose that will reduce their value for no longer being original, but I'm hoping I'll be able to enjoy listening to them again.
