There are ESD safe dusters/blowers and anti-static vacuums. Are these necessary? What do you use?

I posted about this one a few months ago.
It makes no claim to be ESD safe but does recommend its use for computer cases and keyboards.
You could always wear a grounding strap to be sure.
I like the portability of the CCV brand. Just used it after a carwash to blow out all of the foam in between the doors and locks that the rinse cycle didn't wash away. Pretty slick!

Can be found in the makeup section of Walgreen's, CVS, etc. These work very well for dusting delicate gear like tone arms, tubes, and hard to reach spaces.
The blower to blow the dust out the gear and the vacuum to capture
the dust out of the air.
Works great also for getting the dust out from under the refrigerator
couch's, record cabinets, TV, from under chair's and inside closets.
I use the same method to blow out dusty old PC's and there are a lot more ESD sensitive semiconductors in the PC than most audio gear.

Works fantastic! Use at a distance in the garage or driveway and adjust the
variable pressure lever as needed. Just be sure to ground the air.

Put the amp on the driveway and blow. You may get the grass seed into the amp. They will grow leaves from inside.

this would seem a natural job for an ostrich feather duster, a sustainable solution, , so one could use the electrostatic properties of the fine feathers . . just don't get chicken feathers , which are offered.
I bought one, it was smaller than what I expected, but not toy sized and didn't cost much.
has a wooden handle in case you are dusting something with a stored current potential. everclean brand out of South Africa, only plastic is the securing collar. I forget where I bought it , and use it for general cleaning, the turntable and most of the arm.
1. compress air can
2. air compressor
3. shop vacuum blow
4. shop vacuum suck
5. ESD safe duster/blower $120
6. Anti-static vacuum $250
Years ago I saw a video where someone cleaned an old Dyna St-70 in a dish washer. He claimed no harm so long as everything was dried out well afterward. It did look pretty good when finished.
That seemed crazy to me but I don't know enough about electronics to be certain.
I use a clean dry paint brush.

you might remember the old saying of not believing anything you read and half of what you see. personally , I can't remember the exact order of which comes first. I do find that the older I get, it becomes even harder to be sufficiently skeptical
some twisted people will post video advice that is clearly destructive. other people are just dang lazy ignorant and are looking for clicks in anyway possible.
All I can say is a dishwasher is a very hostile environment. Especially considering the age of the item, too much risk for a reward that is available in more conservative ways.
after putting you gear through this.

explain what the acronym ESD is
I have a small battery powered air compressor that I often use.
That and a 2 1/2 inch wide China bristle sash-brush.
