I need to replace our silver dryer vent soon.
My cables will be broken in for 8 years. Imaging how good they will sound instantly.
I thought it was funny no matter what you spend on equipment.

My favorite all-time audio store would have loved it. The guy who ran it loved to skewer the same attitudes the guy in the video is lampooning.
BTW, is that a real $7,000,000 cable?
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
I sometimes have hilarious dreams regarding my "audiophilia"..... The most recent one, roughly two weeks ago...... I dreamed that I prepared some chili for several people..... As I was eating my serving of chili, I noticed a "hard object" in the chili, I fished it out with my spoon, and it was, you guessed it, a vacuum tube.........
Audiophile comedy is apparently even more so.

Bigger is better with all equipment EXCEPT speakers. But for amps, preamps, DAC's, etc., yes, bigger is better! If it's bigger (and more expensive), it will sound better! In fact, you don't even need to audition - just compare size and price!
Rules to live by!
Everyone knows it's the heavier the better. Except the speaker where it's the watts that matter.
Now I'm REALLY confused...

Perhaps my sense of humor has withered with advancing age, but I didn't find the video to be funny. I still laugh quite a bit, just not at this.
Perhaps this is because I recently spent $6,000 on a new pre amp.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.

Some of my family members would buy magazine subscriptions and piles of useless mail order crap with advancing age.
