I have a new DAC arriving later in the week and want to do an A-B Test against my existing DAC. The CD Player that I use as a transport has a digital coax out that I want to use in testing both DACs. Certainly, I can test one DAC at a time, but I prefer to be able to instantly switch back and forth between both DACs (A-B Testing). Also, I want to avoid using Toslink on one and Coax on the other.
Thought of connecting an RCA-fitted Y-splitter to the CDP's coax out so I can connect 2 digital cables to feed both DACs. Will it work?
Thanks,

I use the Inday VDA-1 for $59. Can use 1, 2, 3, or 4 DACs.
Thanks...does the Inday have 4 buttons to select the outputs? Why is it powered...I have similar units from Radio Shack that are non-electrical...will the latter work just as well?
You should buy a simple A/V switch for this as using the Y-connector will mean that the CDP output will not see the correct load.

Thanks....that makes a lot of sense and I think I have a switcher here that I can use.
